Former Major League pitcher and Orioles scout Todd Frohwirth died Sunday from complications with stomach cancer. He was 54.
Frohwirth spent the bulk of his nine-year career with the Orioles, making 186 relief appearances for Baltimore from 1991-93. He also pitched for the Phillies (1987-90), Red Sox ('94) and Angels ('96). The right-handed reliever was 20-19 with a 3.60 ERA in 284 career games.Working on autographed 1987 Topps Baseball set:

Sprint car veteran David Steele has died during a race in Florida.
Desoto Speedway officials said in a Facebook post on Saturday night that track owners and staff were saddened by the crash. The statement says Steele was trying to win his 100th race in Florida.

Roy Sievers passed away the evening of April 3rd. He was the 1949 AL Rookie of the Year and a four time All-Star.

Legendary comic Don Rickles has died. He was 90.
Rickles died Thursday at his home in Los Angeles of kidney failure, publicist Paul Schrifin announced.

Derrick Jensen, a two-time Super Bowl winner as a player and longtime Seattle Seahawks scout, has died after a five-year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. He was 60.
The Seahawks announced that Jensen died Friday morning.
Jensen spent his entire playing career with the Raiders, winning Super Bowl titles after the 1980 and 1983 seasons. He transitioned into becoming a scout after his playing career ended in 1986 and spent 22 seasons with the Seahawks.

Charlie Murphy, who gained national attention on the hit “Chappelle's Show” and evolved into a sought-after stand-up comedian, has died,. He was 57.
A rep told us the star died of leukemia.
The older brother to actor Eddie Murphy had been focusing on his stand-up career in recent years.
He was also known for his roles in films such as “Lottery Ticket” and “The Guys Who Move Furniture.” He famously wrote “Norbit,” which his brother Eddie Murphy starred in.

BOSTON -- Former NFL star Aaron Hernandez, who was serving a life sentence for a murder conviction and just days ago was acquitted of a double murder, died after hanging himself in his prison cell early Wednesday, Massachusetts prisons officials said.

he NBA family mourns the loss of Ken Sears, one of the stars of early Knicks history. Sears played seven seasons in New York, making two All-Star teams and twice leading the NBA in field-goal percentage (1958-59, 1959-60). Sears finished his career with the San Francisco Warriors.
