reapplying for this-feel like Ive done enough to get in (hopefully)

    1. Name: Stephen Taylor

    2. SCF ID: race crazy

    3. Location – Chugiak, Alaska

    4. Give a brief history of what you do in everyday life. What are your hobbies?

Everyday life for me involves 2 things-work or school. I am a Junior at the University of Alaska Anchorage majoring in History and work at Papa Murphys Pizza where I have been for 3 plus years. My hobbies-all things racing of course, surfing ebay and twitter, talking to friends, video games, basketball, watching tv.

    5. Give a brief history of when, how long and why you got into collecting. Please include whether racing was you first passion in collecting, if not, what was. What was the deciding factor that made the change to racing?

I started collecting at age 5 or 6-dont remember-my dad had collected previously and sort of got me into it-at first and always for a while I collected basketball cards along with racing. About 4 years ago I gave up basketball and stuck with racing for good. Racing was always a passion though-ever since I saw a bright orange tide car on the tv in 1992. The deciding factor for me to switch to racing exclusively was for a few reasons-its less expensive, its more fun for me, and its something I care about a lot!

    6. Your driver/driver’s you collect that this honor is for

    Carl Edwards

    7. Do you collect any other sport, if so what.

I used to collect basketball as I said-I have about a 300 card MJ collection as well as about a 450 card Lebron collection still.

    8. Above all give us a break down again of your collection. Percentage owned cards to listed cards. Include some scans of your most prized cards.

    Driver Collection: Carl Edwards

Stuff in the collection Besides Cards

    Sheet Metal from Talladega 2008
    Save a Lot Store Banner
3 Aflac Stuffed Ducks and a Teddy Bear

    15 Items of CE Clothing
A Personalized Custom Carl Edwards Book
    23 Different Diecasts-11 1/24s
Tons of other things including a wallet, keychain, ticket holder, ornament, magnets, valentines day cards, skull cap, calendar, poker chip, pins, cups, cup holders, 2 posters, 3 hats, and 2 card display cases

Total card collection percentage as of 11/4.10 (not including 1/1s and Press Plates)-982/1164-84.3%

991/1351 different cards including 1/1s and Press Plates as of 11/4/10-a little over 73% total counting these

    Base set cards 100%

Basic Inserts and Base Parallels (non #d inserts and blues, golds, reds, other non #d base parallels)

    243/255-95.2%

    #d Cards (excluding 1/1s and previews but including /5 and/10 parallels)-190/201-94.5%

Autos-not including Press Plates and 1/1s-64/111-58%

    Race Used-not including 1/1s-232/329-70.5%

    Samples-18/18-100%

    Ebay Previews-48/61 (not including 1/1 ebay previews)-78.6%

Door # cards in collection: 9

    1/1s in collection: 9

Top 10 Favorite Cards (this was tough to choose)
    • 2009 Press Pass Showcase Prized Pieces Firesuit 14/25. Not the best card in my collection but always been my favorite-the birght green color of the patch fits perfectly with the card and it just pops out at me everytime
    • 2009 Press Pass Showcase Prized Pieces Ink Firesuit 2/5-It was originally a redemption and I waited for over a year to get this card-well worth the wait.
    • 2010 Press Pass Showcase Prized Pieces Firesuit 19/25-the duck beak patch is among the best I’ve ever seen still-really nice card
    • 2009 Press Pass Showcase Prized Pieces Ink Sheet Metal 23/25-another beautiful card with a beautiful piece of sheet metal on it
    • 2009 Press Pass Four Wide Signature Series 4/5-obviously a crown jewel card
    • 2009 Element Green White Checkered 15/25-LOVE the design of this card-its so clean and the colors match perfectly-this will always be one of my favorites
    • 2009 Legends Autographs NGU Inscription 39/50-love the Never Give Up inscription-and this is by far the cleanest and most full auto Carl has signed in recent years
    • 2007 Press Pass Legends Signature Series 14/25-clean, beautiful, and awesome-one of the first cards I got that I was truly giddy about
    • 2008 Speedway Corporate Cuts Patches 11/13-a truly awesome patch-love it
    • 2010 Press Pass Showcase Prized Pieces Ink Firesuit 08/25-again love the colors of the firesuit patch and the design of the card overall

      9. Please enclose a personal picture of yourself so we can see the person behind the fantastic collection

    10. In conclusion

I love racing and I always will-I love Nascar the most obviously-but Ill blab your ears off about any form of motorsport (just ask my parents). If somethings going fast or racing-im probably watching it-I guess you could say im just race crazy.

    Disapproved 11/11/11

Reason is because a Set Supercollector is a collector that has accumolated mopst base, insert and specialty sets produced by Maxx, Upper Deck, Wheels and Press Pass along with numerous novelty sets such as Coke, Sears, Valvoline, etc. This is a honor among honors. One set does not make a supercollector. If that was the case most racing collectors would be. Most that have been associated with this and other sites for years have finished most base and insert sets.

Thanks for the timely response. Sorry for wasting the panels time. It would be a good idea to state that fact on your example. The way it is written is very misleading. I have been collecting 1992 Traks since they came out and still find error/variations to this day.
