    Go-6-go

    1. Name: Stephen Levorse

    2. SCF ID: go-6-go

    3. Location: Stuttgart, Germany

    4. Give a brief history of what you do in everyday life. What are your hobbies?
Everyday life for me involves going to work with a job that I LOVE and then hanging out with my family. We recently moved from a home in Norfolk, Virginia that we had for over 15 years to a foreign country, Germany. I wanted my kids to experience a different culture than what they were so use to back in the states. So I jumped on the chance when that door opened last year. So here we are taking vacations every chance we get; France, Spain, Luxembourg, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Hungry, Liechtenstein, etc.

    5. Give a brief history of when, how long and why you got into collecting. Please include whether racing was you first passion in collecting, if not, what was. What was the deciding factor that made the change to racing?
I started collecting all kind of cards for the gum back in the mid 70’s! Whether it was baseball, football or Garbage Pail Kids it didn’t matter. I had quite a few shoe boxes full of them all. Then one day in the summer of 76 we moved to Heidelberg, Germany. I put the boxes in my closet were they collected dust for three years because I forgot about them. Anyway I wanted to be a sports (soccer, baseball and football) star myself. Well when we were heading back to the states in 1979 I didn’t want the extra baggage so I threw them shoe boxes away. I can even remember my favorite ones Mean Joe Green’s rookie card, Montana’s rookie, Pete Rose cards, Johnny Bench, etc. Oh well, what I might have now if I would have kept them. My wife and I started to collect Racing Cards in 1994 with Traks. I believe I was paying 10-12 bucks a box (that was the good ole days). The first box we pulled a Jeff Gordon Autograph and I was hooked from then on. Of course it wasn’t a Mark Martin autograph but I received one later on. Well from then till 2005 I was a set builder. Shortly after that I went to Iraq and on my return in late 2006 I was way behind the set building so I started to constraint on my Promo, Prototype, Sample and Jason Keller collection.
I started collecting Jason cards back in 2002 because there was a young boy that lived across the street from me with that same name. I also made him a Keller collection like mine that is only missing about 15-20 cards last I knew. I gave him the collection right before he moved to Jacksonville, FL last year. To top this off Little Jason met with Jason Keller a few years ago when he was Aston Lewis’s teammate in Busch. We have a friend that worked for Aston and Jason told him he would love to spend the day with someone with the same name. So the Keller family visited the race shop and hung out with Jason Keller.
