Well, turns out the "Rookies Superstars" from Pacific Cards & Comics, wasn't Meulens last American card. It seems the Columbus Clippers issued a 30th Anniversary set in their 2006 game programs, so I've got one more card to track down in the US. There's also one more Japanese card, part of a menko set issued by the Chiba Lotte Marines in 1994. These are definitely going to be a challenge!

And since Meulens was named as the Giants' hitting coach, he'll likely have a card in their yearly team issue set. At least that one should be easy!

...I wonder if he has any Strat-O-Matic cards... :o

Seriously? $1 would be a steal. Anything over $5 would be highway robbery. $24.95 means someone has stopped taking their medication. That card probably hasn't booked for 60¢ since 1991. If it lists for anything over 5¢ now, it only because Beckett has long since given up on updating prices for the 1989 Fleer Update set.

But thanks for playing. Bob, tell him what he's won!

Honestly, though I'd probably drop $24.95 on the one Japanese menko card of his I haven't been able to track down. Maybe more.

This lot was purchased in 1990 - LOL . I have kept in it's original purchase state since then. I also have a nice Ron Jones lot too. I thought I would posted it as amusement for a TRUE Bam -Bam collector.

Ron Jones, there's a name I haven't seen in awhile. Just looked up his stats and it's kind of surprising he never got on with another team. He looks like he had a great half-year in Richmond in 1993, then BaseballCube has a 6-year gap in his career....I may have to start a new collection!

For Hensley Meulens, my want list is exactly two cards:

1994 Chiba Lotte Marines Menko 6641032
2006 Columbus Clippers 30th Anniversary program card

I'm also looking for the following team photos that would include Bam Bam:

    1989 Albany-Colonie Yankees
    1990 Columbus Clippers
    1991 New York Yankees
    1992 Columbus Clippers
    1993 Columbus Clippers
    1997 Ottawa Lynx
    1998 Tucson Sidewinders
    1999 Newark Bears
    2003 Bluefield Orioles
    2004 Bluefield Orioles
    2006 Indianapolis Indians
    2007 Indianapolis Indians
    2008 Indianapolis Indians
    2009 Fresno Grizzlies
    2010 San Francisco Giants

I did manage to grab his card from this year's Emerald Nuts SF Giants team set featuring Meulens, Tim Flannery and Roberto Kelly.

I write about my player collections on my blog:

    http://clydes-stalecards.blogspot.com

I recently caught two sets of the 1990 Classic Blue set that is supposed to contain the "error" version of his card from that set. I'm going to bust both of them on-camera in an attempt to document that neither the Hensley Meulens error, nor the Ricky Jordan error as listed in Beckett and the Standard Catalog, actually exist. Once I prove that, I can be sure I have 100% of his Beckett-listed cards.
