    Bowling Meets Update...

Sorry for no updates in alittle while guys, i've been busy and everything...

well lets say i hadnt done so hot lately...

my average had fallen to a dismal 183.6 which is very bad to me, even if its JV..

Well yesterday i had a meet against Lakeland at Airway lanes, the first game i won 212-194, i had 3 opens and all strikes, missed two 7 pins and another easy spare, if i got those i would've easily thrown a 230-240 game, but oh well, it happens, the next game i come back and just dominate! well not against my opponent, i win though 243-235! yes this was a JV game, dont let your eyes fool you..lol

so i end up with a nice 455 series, and raise my average up to a 186.8! still alittle low for me, i'd like to get a 190 average still, but it'll be tough to do that! i have a meet today and its my last of the season :(

next week, i have a tournament all weekend, saturday is the singles event and sunday is the team event, apparantly our school is in the "easy bracket" theres two brackets, division 1 and divison 2, we're in division 2, the top 32 from that bracket go on to a 64 singles tournament, 1 game each, 1 faces 32 from there division, 2 vs 31 etc etc...

i guess last year the last man in for the #32 spot shot a 530 series (3 games) so i'm fairly confident i can move on!

How did you fare at the JV Championship this past weekend. If I would have thought about it I would have swung over and watched you bowl a bit. But we were Division 1 so we were on the other side of the house. Plus my JV boys coach didnt show so ended up coaching this weekend. We had 2 boys make match play in singles. The #1 seed, who shot 714 in qualifying and the #13 seed who shot 646. Team wise we qualified 7th before losing in the 1st round.

well for singles i struggled alot, ended up only shooting a 519, mostly because of my second game and some unlucky pocket splits...

one guy from my school made it, but lost in the first round, 2 from Western made it in and lost in the second round (both of them) and 4 from central made it in, 3 lost in the first and the 4th finished 6th...

the team event all 3 schools qualified, central was 7th, western 10th and my team qualified 11th...

central faced western in the first round and ended up central winning but loosing in the second round to farmington hills..we lost to richmond based on some bad coaching, dont want to say much more because i'll get mad again, but with some better coaching decisions, we would've qualified top 5 easily

Sounds like a few rough breaks there. I know about poor coaching decisions. Some of the decisions made by my assistants shock me when i see them. Especially my boys JV coach who wasnt there. Amazing how with me running things the boys average nearly 200 in baker for the day which is quite a bit higher than their regular season average. Oh well, there is always next season, sounds like you should definately be on varsity next year so i am sure we will see you. We will be done at Wonderland this weekend for Varsity Regionals, hoepfully things go well for us.

well i can put it like this, i should've made Varsity i think, i averaged a 186 this season, there was 2 Seniors that averaged much less than me (low 170's) and a Sophmore that average mid 170's, i think the coach just doesnt like me though, everyone on the JV team thinks that though...but next year i have to be on there, since i will be a Senior or else they would cut me..lol

we shot a 1778 and that was with are last 2 games being a 156 and 125, so we were doing really well, i like my coach, but just didnt know his rationale for the decisions he ended up making...

i will be there on Saturday volunteering to help out, i will be a lane monitor

Well i will be down there coaching the Howell boys, so be sure and say hey if you get a chance. All i know is we bowled your varsisty team at the beginning of the year and crossed with them a game at the KLAA championships and from what i can remember if you were averaging in the 180's easily, you probably should have been on that team.

we have 4 guys that are averaging 195-205, but from there is the dropoff, i guess varsity qualified second for accosiations on last friday but lost to John Glenn in the first round...
