this is more of a success thread than a set list of what works and what doesnt- as far as I know, we dont really have that here. We have the TTMM, but without any way to indicate which address postings are emails, it can be a pain
Heres how I check here for new email addys- I go to the TTMM, and check out the recent successes. Anything that has a 0 in the "number of items sent" is likely an email- if its an athlete Im interested in, I click on the name from there and see if there is an email address that works

This is an success thread and not an address thread. To be honest the address thread in here that is for emails I have thought about taking down many times. It has been left more for old times sake than anything. Addresses are kept in the TTMM (TTM DATABASE) and they are just as free to use as this thread. The problem is that I personally never like posting an email that I have not tried or is not in the database until I know it works. Then you have to go search through your emails sent to see, if you see it afterwards. Should it take awhile it may have been deleted from my sent box. Looking through these threads and seeing someone signing and then not finding them in the TTMM should I want to try them I automatically do a Yahoo search for the persons official website! There is usually a contact link and off my email goes. Many times it is just that easy! Emails unlike snail mail you are asking the star to spend their money to buy something for you to sign and for the postage to send it to you. Seriously I assume that you can take a few moments to look for their emails! I have posted a fair share and there are a number of members who post a large number in the TTMM. Give them a look.

I'm not defending those people at all, but there are some signers out there who are just being generous with the people who worked hard to find their email. If they just post their email, the said celebrity/athelete will get flooded with requests and will eventually stop signing.
Like when I got my Jeff Samardzija auto. my inbox got flooded with requests for his email. People who I could tell were just looking for another autograph, I never replied to. However I gave it to true fans.
But, people really need to learn the meaning of community

Back to topic.
I received my first two email successes today.
Ed Hochuli - 1/0 (package ripped in the mail, part of picture ripped as well)
Jim Calhoun - 1/0 (scratch on picture, but everything else is awesome)
I'm hooked now. I knew the Hochuli was coming because I got an email last week. Calhoun was a surprise, and that is what makes this fun.

Fred Hoiberg in 2 Days.
I am not sure that getting an email back requesting for an sase is a success. I have gotten a bunch of them. But the McReynolds is cool.

I was excited just because it was from LSU, despite being from Wisconsin, now living in Minnesota, I am a big LSU fan. Just have to decide how much to put on each envelope to send back and get away with it without having to go to the PO. Any ideas, PM me.

I got an email from Ed Hochuli and he is sending an auto pic and returned a very nice personal email.
Also wrote and got a return from Royce Gracie. I praised the man for everything he has done (he is a legend after-all) I got an email back saying of course I'd sent it to you - Royce"
so yeah 2 success emails.
Stan Lee is only signing at conventions now and the best damn sports show period guys are too busy also for TTEM
