    Card show questions

So my father lives right next to a place where card shows are held once a month. It is a very cheap entry and I am considering going to one, only with one question

I hear a lot about buying cheap GU. Is this true? I need to bulk up my tradebait. Someone offered some Fresh Threads for just anyone from his team... and I do not have one GU or auto of this team. I really wanna get a few from each team.. please help me out!!

While it depends from table to table, there are usually a few folks that have cheap bins or boxes where you can grab GU for a buck or two.

Yeah..... like others have already said, 'bargin bins' are pretty common. Can pick up low end GU or Autos for a buck or two.

Expect to see a lot of Bill Guerin and Miro Satan in them, though.

As for cheap GU and autos. I have a deal with my local card shop, paying less than $2 for each hockey GU and auto. He doesn't get as much movement on hockey as he does the other sports, so he's more than happy to offer them to me. The other nice thing is, it's not all junk, either.

the biggest thing when you look in "bargain bins", and have knowledge of products. For example I found an 07-08 Ultra Lucic RC in a $1 bin a couple months back. Last I knew this was a $15/bv card.

What I am hoping for is dealers who do not know much about hockey and putting stuff in bins they think aren't anything, cause i have a good idea of all the good players, id rather pick up sabres then islander cards just because of the collectors i know. I just wanna get some nice, cheap gu..
