OK so he posts on my Habs thread asking how much for about 8 Tanguay cards he wants. I take the time to look through my OPG and send him a price. He then comes back saying he only wants three of them. Fine, I give him a price. Then he says he doesn't have any money and then asks me if I know where he can get a job.

Wow..I didn't know you offered counseling and job placement too ! Sucks when you go thru all that and they had no real shot a buying anything in the first place...Had that price for 10 cards, then want only one thing happen to me before...know what that feels like...just happened to me about a week ago, but it was trading, not selling...I wa gonna just throw the towel in, but needed the Gainey auto for my HOF thingy I'm working on..he kept coming back with different card numbers, with no idea of the BV's and every time was at least 2x the amount of the target..In the end I finally said something like...Look man, here's what I Will give you, take it or leave it...but of course with a cheery, friendly tone...but, now as a rule of thumb...I go look at their profile BEFORE even start the negotiations..look at their past trades both how many and value wise, and their age..if it's not on the profile, I go in the MODcp (a bonus of being a mod) and see how old they are...then I can gauge whether to waste time or to do a friendly brush off..
