    Good look on the vid. Its unfortunate, even after watching it again i have way more issue with OV firing his sore loser shot and Scuds at the end of the game than this hit.

    It's unfortunate to have that happen. When I originally saw it I thought it was a little wreckless but the more I watch it, the more it looks like a missed check that turned out bad for Gonchar.

    The hit was completely legal and should not have even been called a penalty. If Gonchar would have just squared up and taken the hit, he would have been fine. Instead he tries to dance around it, and exposes his knee.

    It's unfortunate that Gonchar was injured on the play but I don't think it was an intentional knee on knee. Ovechkin went in with his shoulder but Gonchar twisted out of the hit. Because it all happened so fast there wasn't enough time for Gonchar to get his legs out of the way.

    Hockey is a rough sport and these things happen...just like every other sport.
