Yao Ming Out for the Playoffs
Hairline fracture on his left foot.
This just does it for me.
Yao can't be our focal point on offense.
If he can't play over 35 minutes during the playoffs, then he shouldn't be the main focus point on offense.
We'll have to re-evaluate the high post with him. See if he can get the mid-range jumper consistently. This will open passing lanes for cutters. This will also save energy for him to box out and block/alter shots.
Anytime a team has a skilled big man as their 2nd option, then that team is talented. We won't force feed or try as much now.Last edited by underdawg; 05-10-2009 at 09:38 AM.

Where'd you get that?
Hairline fracture takes at least 8 weeks to heal. He doesn't need surgery, but in order to heal it, his foot must be immobilized.

I think he meant only two more games then the Rockets' season will be over.
Clearly, he was wrong.

Its working out so far. That Rockets blew the Lakers away. I don't think it will lat long though

You guys see on SportsCenter where they said All-Time, when Yao is out with some sort of injury, the Rockets are now 4-0 against the Lakers?
Interesting....
