NY senators oppose NHL team in Hamilton

Both New York Senators feel if the Phoenix Coyotes are relocated to Hamilton, Ont., the proposed move could have a negative impact on the Buffalo Sabres.

Sens. Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand have written to National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman about their concerns a Coyotes move to Hamilton could have on the Sabres’ bottom line. The Sabres’ yearly revenues are boosted annually by anywhere from 15 percent to 20 percent from Southern Ontario hockey fans.

If you are a senator who wants votes and wants to act like you don't just care about NYC (which they mostly only do), this is something you do..though I doubt either of them believe what they are writing or even care..just one of those things to save public face.

This is stupid. It will have little to no impact at all on a NY franchise.
