    Artifacts Tundra Tandems

I was just looking at some of my Tundra Tandems i had this year, including a patch of Marleau and Thornton, and a gold of Gagne and Biron. I looked on the back of the thornton/marleau and it said it was certified as being used in an official bruins game and an official sharks game. Now my question is why would Thornton have a jsy from a bruins game, especially since he's been on the sharks for about 3 or 4 years now? And i know some of the tandems they have are rivals or old vs. new or whatever, but if u have teammates, wouldn't u want both of the jsy's to be from the same team? And it's not like it's a vintage Thornton because he's pictured in a Sharks uniform on the front. Then i looked at my Gagne/Biron and i noticed the same thing, certified as being used in an official flyers game and an official sabres game. Same thing here as they are teammates and Biron has been on the Flyers for a couple years now. Sorry for the long read, but i was just wondering if anybody else noticed this.

If they still have old jerseys not fully cut up, they're going to be used before spending tonnes more to be more up-to-date. At least they're game used.

that's exactly where your creative team 'should' come into play. create a special set, some sort of patch flashback set...

using boston patch in san jose card is just lazy...

i just don't get with the whole tandems idea that they would put different jsy's in from different teams when the players are on the same team....and yes they should put the older ones in the paper shredder lol

I recently had the luck of pulling an 06-07 UD Game Jersey of Sergei Samsonov.

The swatch is black. The card identifies Sergei as a member of the Montreal Canadiens, but the photo shows him in an Oilers Jersey. The card back merely says "used in an NHL game".

I'll never know if it's a Bruins jersey or a Hurricanes jersey. Either way it's not Edmonton or Montreal.

that's a little different because he was moving around a lot at the time. i'm saying with thornton, he was there for 3 years already and it's supposed to be a tandem jsy with his teammate but his jsy is different from marleau's? it just doesn't make sense to me.

It's possible/likely that the cost of a Thornton gamer has gone up singificantly than it did back when the Bruins jersey(s) was/were purchased, and they want to use up what's left of the Bruins memorabilia before going out and purchasing stuff from San Jose.
