    Who Likes the Hot Stuff?

Where are all my spicy/hot food/sauces eaters in here? What do you like? I'd love to find some new stuff to try.

I love peppers...jalapenos and cayenne mostly. I put them in my spaghetti, macaroni, sandwiches, soup. Just had some cayenne in my Ramen noodles...good stuff. And I have some cayenne powder that I put on just about anything. And of course the hot buffalo chicken is awesome. At my local barbecue place, Fat Buddies, I get the Nuclear Tenders (hottest they go) and dip them in the spicy ranch (barely mild really). People look at me like I'm crazy though...most of the time they're not even hot to me.

As far as sauces go, I'm a big Tabasco fan. I like the regular, but the chipotle and jalapeno are probably my favs, just love the flavor of those. And I'll try all the gimmick hot sauces when I see them too, but haven't found one I buy regular of those.

I have no clue how I got into hot foods though. No one in my family like them (won't even try hot stuff) and none of my friends really do....just started out of the blue one day I guess.

I love spicy foods. I am a hot sauce nut. I will try anything and the hotter the better. I love red savina peppers.

While samples of Red Savina have been measured as high as 577,000 Scoville units, many chilli enthusiasts growing the Red Savina have been unable to reach this level of heat, even with certified Red Savina seed. The Chile Pepper Institute at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico, conducted an extensive field trial to test the Red Savina. In this scientific growth trial the Red Savina was unable to reach 250,000 scoville units.

I'm a spicy food fan. When I lived in Mexico for a year, that's all that myself and my friend ate. We used to buy habanero's by the pound and put them in everything.

I'm not up on the Scoville scale...can you compare them to a jalapeno, cayenne, habanero...something I know?

    No Prob.

    2,500–8,000 Jalapeno
    30,000-50,000 Cayenne Pepper
    200,000-300,000 Habanero chili'

Chart on this page is great for Scoville comparison.
