Target isn't going to waste man-hours or resources on products that bring little relative revenue. It isn't about ignoring it, it is about focusing on what brings in more money (which is just good business).[/QUOTE]

target only allocates a certain amount of space to the card vendors. the vendors still own the cards, not target. it is free money for target. they only invest space, not time or money. and there is good money in cards, ask the dealers.

if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, its usually a duck. i stand by what i said. i assume you can prove what you say, because hearsay doesn't work for me.

Well I'm not trying to say ALL stores are like this. I'm just saying the store I go to is not like this. I know first hand because when the owner opens the boxes to sell he always shuffles the packs. And like I said he orders one case for himself to open and the rest is to sell.

Not man-hours, I mixed up the mentality of a card shop with a Target, my bad.

Space is a resource. At the 4 Targets around my immediate area, the space for card sections seems to be shrinking steadily over time. Obviously they are finding more profitable products than cards for them to be downsizing the shelf-space. And they do invest time - shelf life, and for them to be replacing cards for other products means they are also aware of the shelf time and cycle. And since time is money...

Strangely I've noticed the Toys r'us by me expanding their sports card section. Unfortunately I don't really buy retail stuff.
