    If I won a $500 million jackpot, I would:

    -buy a house
-buy a house for my parents
    -buy a new car
    -buy a sports bike
    -own a night club
-become a Detroit Pistons courtside season tickets holder
-hook up my friends, family, and relatives with a few thousands of dollars
-start up my own charity for a good cause

That would be by far the biggest lottery jackpot ever...$500M after taxes would mean it was about $1B before...wow.

But, I don't mind dreaming some...I've already thought about this. Not everything I'd do, but first on the list:

1 - Pay all my parents debt off and let them retire.
2 - Pay for my old church's new building (around $2M)
    3 - Buy a Nissan GTR
    4 - Buy a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 single cab Hemi
5 - Go to a card store and buy boxes galore including National Treasures...I've never been able to buy more than one box at a time and the most I've spent on a box is around $115.
6 - Buy a John Madden-style RV for my constant road trips I'll be taking
7 - Build a house here, buy a ranch in Cody, WY, and a secluded bungalo in Hawaii, the Keys, Jamaica, somewhere like that.
8 - Start my exotic car collection with a Ferrari 550 Maranello.

And I'd still have at least $450M left to do whatever.

I would question the moral character of any church organization that would put millions of $ into a building, talk about a shallow and sinful waste of money.

    1. Hire my very smart best friend to handle the finacial aspects of dealing with that much money.
    2. Provide a yearly payout to each member of my family to live off of as well as assiting them with investing their portion so it grows as well.
    3. Take 50 mill and set up a trust for charitable donations
    4. Purchase a ranch somewhere, a beach house somewhere, a lake house somewhere and a penthouse in downtown Boston.
    5. Have a custom motorcycle built for me.
    6. Set up a trust for my 2 sons along with stipulations/conditions they must meet to get money from the trust.
    7. Travel, starting in the USA in my new motor home.
    8. Give away $1000 a day, every day to a random stranger I meet.
    9. Buy a golf course just for me and my friends.
    10. Hire a personal chef and driver.

why i like the thought of helping your church, i would agreet he moral justification of this. big problem with organized religion: why does a huge state of the art building have to do with god? 4 walls, and a roof and people of the same belief should be enough.

-i would buy land, build my 'dream' house (nothing crazy, but a nice house with plenty of room and to my liking
-buy a family car, motorcycle, nice used truck/boat
-give enough to my parents so they could retire and build their own houses (of course not close to mine)
-cds and college fund for kids, and setup increasing increments for them to receive portion of money, and them receiving all of it by 30
    -invest some, not alot though
-donate, donate, donate: alot of it
-buy material things for fun: sports tickets, memorablia, etc.
and save enough to live off of for the rest of my life
