Hillary Clinton says she won't run for president again
Hillary Clinton says she won't run for president again
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Monday she would not run for president again, and brushed off suggestions that she is being marginalized in the Obama White House.
Clinton, who lost the Democratic presidential nomination to Barack Obama, said "No" three different times when asked by NBC's Ann Curry "Will you ever run for president again? Yes or No?"...
...Unless she challenged President Obama in the 2012 Democratic presidential primary, Clinton would have to wait until 2016 to run again if she changed her mind. She turns 62 on October 26.
Do you believe it?

I think it's more likely she said that to convey a sense of solidarity with the Obama administration. If the Obama administration starts floundering, we'll see if she reverses herself.

I don't buy it...she'll run again...this is like Tim Pawlenty, or Sarah Palin saying that they are not running again for governor, or stepping down from governor, respectfully, and it has nothing to do with the 2012 presidential election...yah, right!

That's what I tend to think as well...like she's really going to say she would before the first year of the first term of the President she is working for is over. But they did bring up a good point that should would be 69 if she waited until 2016. That probably won't matter for a Democrat, but one of the knocks against McCain was that everyone was convinced he would die in office.

I think it's to early to tell if she will run again, but if Obama slips up big time I believe she will run again. On the other hand, if he does well I don't think she will go at it again seeing as how she lost the first time.

so she will be running in 2012.
I dont think it can be defined as slipping up big time. That would imply that he had it together at some point. Its not really up to Clinton or Obama. Obama is just a democratic pawn. He was willingly used to insure the Democrats election. They will use him up to get as much crap passed as possible and then throw him under the Bus so fast it will make your head spin. It just depends on the strategy.

Yeah. I agree that he is used by the democrats as a pawn because he is such a great speaker. I think, as you do, that he will make matters even worse than they are and Hillary will run again; but it is definitely too early to completely pick a side.
