Great article I enjoy the archives releases of now because they remind me of back then.WHen I was a kid cards were affordable and a thrill to collect. Now the high end craze with GU and auto kind of kills it.Now we have a slew who only trade if you have that flavor of the month.I got a ton of 80's and 90's cards that I look at and still enjoy.

I agree High end stuff is no fun for me, I would much rather spend one to two bucks on retail packs and get alot of cool players and sub-line cards, rather than 200 for a pack of three cards with one guaranteed auto. I also do not get the rookie card thing, I would rather have an established stars card rather than a rookie card of a 7th round pick that will be out of the league in two years.
