Digging through some old boxes after moving I came across "FUN & FACTS Playoff Action Album" (aka 1983-84 Oilers McDonald's) and though it would be perfect for my 1st blog post.



I am not sure how many trips my dad made to Edmonton to get me the complete set but all the cards are in the album. I am not sure who wrote my sisters name on the front cover of the album (maybe there is another album with my name on it). But it definitely takes me back to when collecting was about having something tangible in your hand and not worrying about getting it in to a protector. Flipping through the pages now brings back memories and being aloud to play with my cards is probably the reason I still collect today.

The Emery Edge Award was presented for the first time in the 1982-83 season to Charlie Huddy for the Top Plus Minus player in the league. +62
