Hey...from NH, living in Iowa last 7 years, thank god for DirecTV! Miss going to see my Bruins! Just saw the Sox win one in Minnesota a couple of Saturdays ago, $26 for tickets behind home plate in the upper deck, not bad! Saw the Patriots OWN the Packers in Green Bay 2 years ago, that was awesome...tons of Pats fans were there!

I grew up in Manchester on the West Side...I've been in Iowa 7 years now. Played Hockey at Manchester West High School in the 80's.

hey! I'm growing up in Ipswich, MA. Played Little League Baseball for the A's, Phill's, O's, Red Sox (twice). Attending IMS/IHS.

Love the Sox like they are my life! Been to 8 games (including last night on 7/30).

schwood...I was back in Manchester last November as I had to go to Boston to see a client. Drove around town and couldn't believe what a dump Manchester has turned into.

What do people think about this Manny circus? What is the concensus on his cards? Keep collecting or dump now?

I am trying to get rid of most. There is one, tho, that i am keeping (a nice red jersey swatch /100).

Honestly, i say get the cards of players you WANT, but make sure that the players you're getting for the manny's are gonna be in the hall someday too.

Like, make sure you trade a $50 Manny for a $50 or $60 Ellsbury or Pedroia, ya know? I'm tryin to die down on manny's. build on today's team - tomorrow's hofmrs.

Yeah, that is a good idea. I don't have a lot of Manny stuff other than base and inserts. Some GU, but not a ton. Was in the market for an Auto, but won't go there now. Have to update my PC Bucket. Don't know when. Have too much to go through.

So, What'da'ya guys think of Paul Byrd as a Soc?

I like Byrd as some veteran leadership. A junk baller. Not a #1, but a very servicable replacement for Wake when he is out. And with Buchholz struggling, anything is better at this point till he gets straightened out.
