I do believe that there seems to be a push by the big league to bring up more young talent this year in liu of the rethreads. I think this is good for baseball and as long as the steroid issue doesn't get one of the big name prospects this will mean more money for the educated prospector. Parra, Porcello, Beckham, Weiters, etc. A trend worth noting. A under the radar prospect that is worth noting is Luis Exposito, I already have my share.

I don't know that this year is anything special. Anymore, it's in a team's best economic interest to bring up a certain number of prospects. Think about, you only have 3 years to get them onto the 40-man roster from original signing and then 3 years after that to get him to stick on the 25-man (since they'll be out of options). If you're drafting 50 a year (and signing close to 30 of them), you'll have 25+ a year to make big decisions on.

i think now is definitely the time to stock up. doing off-season research will pay big dividends in the coming year. there are some people who are doing well this winter.

I haven't been keeping up as I normally do. one guy i do think could be good is James darnell

i been on scf for years and had no ideal they had groups here. well i love prospecting the next one. what do you guys think of the new minor league product topps is coming out with. will you guys buy any or just stick to bowman. lmk thanks.

Hey guys I'm a bit late to the party this year, but I'm pumped about next year. Any info on good sites or other mediums through which to learn more about prospecting and minor league players in general?
