The theme will run from today until 11:59pm EST on Saturday, May 14th, 2016






General Rules


1. You MUST post a new scan/picture of your card with your handwritten ID next to it in this thread.
2. Only one submission per member per week.
3. A card can only be submitted ONCE throughout the whole contest, so choose wisely.
4. If you make a mistake, do NOT edit your post! Instead, create a new one, or your entry for the week will be disqualified. No exceptions.


REMEMBER!
EVERY entry will earn you 25cc! And if you enter every week a bonus amount will be thrown your way ;)
AND the more entries we get, the more points you can earn for our season long Quest for The Cup contest!
50+ entries in a week: 3 points to the winner, 2 to 2nd place, 1 for 3rd
20-49 entries: 2 points to the winner, 1 for 2nd place
Under 20 entries: 1 point to the winner

I don't think this one is eligible for this week, I made these custom cards just to practice photoshop, didn't have them print out.
And I love tobacco card, especially Allen and Ginter, that's why I made these, just for fun.

Yup.... a Jarred Smithson stick card!

Bit of story for this one.....

I've mentioned many times, I collect "all time Oilers". I chase GU & Auto'd cards of anyone to have ever played for them. I also (when possible) want a card of them pictured as an Oiler.

Smithson only played 10 games for the Oilers, at the tail end of the 12-13 season. He had no cards made of his time there, and he's never had a GU card.

However about 4 years earlier, I was in Nashville and bought one of his "game used" sticks from the team store for $50. I didn't buy it to keep it, I bought it to play with. It looked to me like it had probably never been used, just prepared for game use.

Anyway, a few seasons later (and after he'd been traded to the Oilers) the stick broke on me. Instead of just throwing the whole thing out - I just the name plate off of it, and sent it to Jon ( @DnJcards ) and he created this beauty for me!

You've got to get one of his S19 sticks before you can even think about duplicating it! lol

Jon has done a bunch of custom cards for me over the last few years.... there are some cut signature ones that are bigger pieces of my collection, but I think for something unique - as part of this contest - this one.... BY FAR... is the coolest one I've got to show off :)

Jon's customs are awesome--if the Habs did a weak job with their Carey Price net cord cards from Club 1909 I totally would have asked him for a bit of work on mine.
