SCF Update - April, 2016

Members -

It's been 3+ months since I have taken over SCF. There have been things that have been positive for the site but there is a lot of work that needs to be done yet. This is going to be a length message as there is a lot to cover.

Toronto Expo
Next Weekend - April 8-10, SCF will have a presence at the Expo in Toronto, Canada. We will be at booth 1114, graciously provided by member @CHERRYPICKER. Starting tomorrow night and over the weekend, @CanadianCards will be posting some breaks that we plan to conduct LIVE. CanadianCards will have be at booth 401. Please check out Ryan and see what he has in store!

Also, I have special cards that have been provided by @2Bros Sports with a Special code for those attending Expo!

Nationals
@doniceage has reserved a table for the Nationals in Atlantic City, NJ from August 3-7. I plan to be there for the entire time. We are going to be starting to plan for the some activities and contests for the Nationals. More information will be forthcoming.

Site Changes
You all might have started to notice some minor changes to the site this week. For example, I have moved the sidebar from the right side of the page to the left. Updated some of the widgets on the sidepanel (this is hidden or shown by clicking on the arrows on the left) and will be starting to make some changes to the header at the top of the main page.

All of the changes that are going to be done is in an effort to make the site easier to navigate, easier to find things you a looking for, finishing out the uniformity in the Sport forums and make it easier for you all to use some of the SCF tools that are available. Most probably know about the TTM and Inventory Managers, but did you know that we also have a Photo Album that has a lot of the same functionality that Photobucket has?

If you have ideas, suggestions, please post away.

SCF Facebook and Social Media
April is going to be the month were we FINALLY (I know, I know) make SCF a better presence on Social Media. Some of the items we are going to be looking to get out includes:

New Sets loaded into the Inventory Manager
New Articles posted from the SCF Writing Team
Events / Shows for a given week
Box Breaks
Maildays

This is really just the tip of the iceberg of what we can do. However, we will need assistance with this (more to follow).

I have just highlighted one area of the need for SCF. Another area of need is the SCF Inventory Manager. We have a need for help in most sports and looking to expand this into Non-Sport/Gaming as well.

Disputes
I have gotten a few PM's and email messages over the last several weeks about people not getting their ends of deals, posts made on the Facebook page about scammers, etc. Something that I encourage everyone to do is use the Trade Manager. The best reason is once both sides agree to the deal, the shipping information is provided to you, thus no need to scour via PM's, Emails, etc to find this information.

However, where else this can help out you with working with our team to help settle issues that you might be having with members if a deal does not go as planned. Obviously, I would like for you and your trade partner to work together to find an amicable solution, but if this cannot be accomplished, @etmill01 and his team will do everything in their power to mediate and help out with your deals that you post into the trade manager.
