Players or sets that were once hot but now are not
Post any players or sets that were once hot and were what everyone wanted but are now either ice cold or sell for a fraction of what they once did.
Anybody remember Manon Rhéaume the first lady of hockey? She was like the hockey version of Shaq in the early 1990s. Her stuff was hot with people coming into card shops asking about them but then she seemed to drop of the face of the earth after a couple of years.Selling All My Cards Here------>Hidden Content

There are some pretty big Rheaume collectors out there. I found out first hand when selling my Rheaume/Jenny Stiles dual GU from Sportkings Series E from The National.

Manon Rheaume couldn't stop a Beach Ball. Phil Esposito did this to put bums in seats in an empty Tampa Arena. It was a gimmick.

Jim Carey was equally as expensive like Brodeur during at 1995-1996 but only for some years later they was worthing like nothing....
Just stunning that he became one of those VERY few non canadian players who was equaling with all those big name canadian players, even if for a short time but it was a pain for me because I was collecting him then...same with Johan Hedberg who was crazy hot at 2001-2002 and was also selling at Brodeur's level or even more closing (not much but still) at Roy's level during that time, but he's still a bit popular nowadays, espeically his Penguins cards...

I second that. It's hard to get a Rheaume auto for under $30.
