Rosenthal I did not see/did not recognize. Wong was pretty chill. He doesn't have the nicest signature, but he's a good signer.

Quick recap before I begin- Graphed the mariners last week on arrival, Cano went out to eat. When he came back, there were 3 of us there. Instead of getting out and signing, or getting out and saying no, he was too chicken to face us, so he had the valet bring his car (with him inside it) to the loading dock, bring the car into the dock, then close the gates so he could get out escorted. Puh-lease.
Today went a little better. Did the Cardinals, a team that I have actually done alright but not great with in the past all things considered. Today went very well.
Got there early because it was a day game, waited for 2-3 hours total. Shortly after I got there, AJ Pierzinski pulled out in a cab. We got him to roll the window down at a red light and sign. But when the light turned the cabby slammed on the gas and he almost didn't get my baseball out to me in time. Luckily I just barely snagged it. So I got on the board early with a pretty nice player to start the team ball.
When the bus came, I got Mat Adams shortly after. He sweet spotted the team ball, which is actually a pretty decent person to headline the ball I guess.
And then Jhonny Peralta a few minutes later. Then a few minutes after that, one of the stranger things of the day happened. Kolten Wong came out and was signing a lot. I had a 50/50 deal with a member on here that included wong, so I tried to get him on photos. He wouldn't change pens from his blue ballpoint. So I had to get him on the team ball under peralta.
Then I got a few scrub-ish players one by one descalso and neshek. Neshek came back off the bus and signed 20 or so. Class act as usual.
In the meantime, Lackey, Rosenthal, Masterson and a few other guys go out and completely ignore us. Class acts one and all.
Jon Jay came out next. I was torn about getting him on a team ball, but I elected for the SI cover I had for him.
At this point, all the players were out except Waino and Holliday. Holliday has become a real jerk in recent years and doesn't even look up or acknowledge you. That is what he did today. Head down walked past.
Waino came about 20 seconds later, and was the opposite. He stopped and signed about 10-15 graphs. I was first in line and got the following beautiful SI done:
Waino is one of my favorite MLB players and I have never to date gotten him, so I am really excited about this success!
Shelby Miller and Oscar Tavarez scooted out the front door in cabs while we were waiting for the rest of the guys at the bus, so I did not see them.
All in all, a pretty epic day though for the collection.

Sucks to hear about Masterson because he's been like a top 5 nicest guy in the majors since he got called up.
Wainwright is a nice get though.

I agree, Masterson (at least here in CLE) is usually one of the nicest guys and was always super happy to sign. Signed like 4-6 per person. That's a real shocker to me. Glad you got Wainwright! Told you that they have been pretty good this year, glad it paid off.

Yeah thanks for the info guys. To be fair, Masterson pitched today. So maybe that was it. The others like lackey though were jerks.

Nice Cards haul. I read recently that Lackey traded Neshek a signed Babe Ruth ball to get his jersey number with the Cards. Lackey never struck me as a very friendly person but I'll see how he is during ST next year.

Yep, he only does it on the field when he's on the road now, if he's not pitching he'll do it on the field every day.

Raided my closet from when I was a kid at my mom's house. Found some real auto gems.
Found a signed 8x10 of Scotty too hottie and a book from mick foley/mankind from when I was really into wrestling
And, possibly even cooler, I found an official bat from the official equipment of white sox and yankees OF Brian Anderson. I met him at an airport and he asked for my address as we were chatting and 2 weeks later he sent me the bat signed in the mail. Pretty awesome stuff, even though he never panned out.
Pretty pumped to rediscover these pieces after all this time.
