    AWESOME LOOK!!!!!

Quick had one honoring Vachon in the 1st game of the season.....against the Nucks...

Check out the retro pads too!!!

Bernier also did a retro look - not like the original mask but a tribute to Rogie Vachon

To be honest, I think it looks a little creepy.
I like the Quick one more, without the eyes or the lips.

But I like the originality for sure.

Hey Chris, do you know if the Quick mask was done by David Arrigo?

    found this
The tribute mask was inspired by an early 1970s-era Rogie Vachon mask on display at the Kings’ practice facility. The original plan was to have the retro look painted over top of the mask design Quick normally wears, but painter Steve Nash of Eye Candy Air came up with the idea of making it look like an old mask, with the hair flowing out the back and the ears visible on the sides

    + everyone

The Quick one set the standard for this "look"

Unfortunately it went downhill adding the eyes and mouth, that is odd looking.

    A little creepy? A little?
It looks like halfway though the game he's going to drop his stick, glove and blocker and skate around moaning, "BRRRAAAAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNNNSSSSS BRRRAAAAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNNNSSSSS BRRRAAAAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNNNSSSSS"
Patiently waiting for someone to bring back sax solos and keytars non ironically.
