New Collector
Hello,
Just figured I'd introduce myself. I am brand new to card collecting - I am a longtime sports fan in Pittsburgh and just recently bought a few packs at Target. I really like the cards I got, but was surprised to learn online that the packs you buy at hobby stores have different cards in them. I figured this forum would help me learn a little bit about the hobby.
I look forward to contributing here!

Hello Kyle and welcome to the hobby. Yes, unfortunately the cards you find in a retail store won't be the same as what you'd find in hobby store packs. The "hobby" versions typically yield more "hits" (autographed or game used memorabilia cards) than a retail pack.

I only trade by Beckett price guide, not eBay comp or SV, TV..I also do not collect any Panini or Donruss Baseball products..
