Welcome To SportsCardForum's 4th Annual Pre-Season Contest!!

Once again, the good folks over at

have been kind enough to sponsor this year's contest. This marks the second year in a row that Panini has generously stepped up to contribute to this contest and we can't thank them enough for it. This year, the winner will bag themself a box of Panini Luxury Suite Hockey!

This is also the first leg of the "Race for the Price" sponsored by StarSide Signatures! Taking part in this leg is the first step to bagging that Carey Price autographed jersey!

The Instructions On How To Enter The Contest will be as follows:

1. Reply in this thread that you would like to enter the contest.
2. Copy the following list of 2011-12 NHL Pre-season games:

09/21/11 Boston vs. Ottawa
09/22/11 Vancouver vs. Edmonton
09/23/11 Washington vs. Chicago
09/24/11 Minnesota vs. Pittsburgh
09/25/11 Winnipeg vs. Carolina
09/26/11 NY Rangers vs. Philadelphia
09/27/11 Phoenix vs. Edmonton
09/28/11 Los Angeles vs. Colorado
09/29/11 Dallas vs. Florida
09/30/11 NY Rangers vs. Goteborg
10/01/11 Montreal vs. Tampa Bay
10/02/11Pittsburgh vs. Detroit
10/03/11 NY Rangers vs. Zug
10/04/11 Anaheim vs. Jokerit
10/05/11 Los Angeles vs. Hamburg

3. Predict the score of each game by indicating the goal total after each team.
I have done the first few as an example below.

09/21/11 Boston 5 vs. Ottawa 3
09/22/11 Vancouver 8 vs. Edmonton 2
09/23/11 Washington 7 vs. Chicago 6

4. After predicting the score for each game, answer the following questions:

a)Who will score the most goals in the preseason?
b)Who will have the most assists?
c)Who will have the most points?
d)Who will be the highest point-getting rookie during the preseason?

5. PM me your completed schedule/scorecard.
5. I will send you a return confirmation PM
6. I will then enter all of the entries and their guesses into a Google Docs. More details to follow.
7. YOU HAVE UNTIL WEDNESDAY 21st SEPTEMBRE 6:59 PM EST to enter
The points will be accorded as follows:

2 points for correctly predicting each winner
1 point for correctly predicting the visiting score
1 point for correctly predicting the home score
10 points each for correctly guessing the goals, assists, points, and rookie leaders

To qualify for the contest, you must also meet the following criteria:

1. Initiate (start) a minimum of 2 trades/transactions on SCF by the end of the contest on the 6th October 20011.

2. Post the link to each of your trades in this thread. Please keep only one post in this thread, and edit that post as you need to.

3. Have an account in good standing, no serious infractions (any infractions worth 3 points or more please refer to SCF rules) and no trade disputes

4. The other qualifying requirement will be to digg the contest (https://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=578411) as this helps getting SCF high up in the search engines.

As this is the first leg of the "Race for the Price", the following points will be granted towards the race:

1st place: 5 points
2nd place: 4 points
3rd place: 3 points
4th place: 2 points
5th place: 1 point

Please note that staff members are eligible to play and can win the box but they are not eligible to win the Race for the Price, therefore should they cannot win any of the points. Should a staff member take first place, the person who finishes in second place will get the first place points and so on.
