Rumour. Rick Nash signs with Red Wings as a Free Agent, and Brad Stuart is finally kicked to the curb where he belongs.

    Really?

Oh well, then trade Stuart, and a 2nd and a 4th to Columbus for Nash, they are stupid enough to do that deal. Lol

To get Nash a team would have to trade a NHL calibre player ( top 6 forward), a high end prospect, a first round pick and most likely a salary dump player, who is just over paid but still nhl calibre. He will be VERY pricy to any team per suing him. Trade example:

    Columbus trades:

    Nash
    Mason

    LA Kings trade:

    Bernier (Prospect)
    Jack Johnson (Nhl player)
    1st round pick
Dustin Penner (?) (Salary Dump player)

Nobody is going to take Penner, he's damaged goods.

If Columbus wants to trade nash they'll have to take on one bad contract. With Nash making 7.8 million per, if Columbus wants the best deal, they'll want to keep all teams open as trading partners. The only way this happens for teams near the cap is if columbus eats a bad contract.

I think if they don't deal Nash, the Wings could aggressively go after him via trade in the summer as they won't mess with their chemistry now. Get rid of Ericsson, Stuart,or Abdelkader and I'd be ecstatic.
