For baseball hof- cash is king.
Cash is the only kind of payment a lot of the older guys will accept.

Exactly, Cash. Unless, you're sending to a playbill that wants a donation or a charity, the usually want checks or MO

Now is this when your send to the actual HOF or just Hall of Famers in general?
What is your standard donation? I though I saw in the TTM Manager some people were sending like $2? That sounds pretty low.

Every player has their own recommended amount, but I would do AT LEAST $5. I have only sent to 2 players with fees (Gossage and Kaline) and sent each of them a $10 bill just because that is what they ask for.

Depends.
If you know it's a sure shot your guy will open/return the mail.. Send cash.
If he's hit n miss send a check.

Should your bank still return cancelled checks it would be a great way to get an extra autograph off the endorcement on the back, but mine no longer returns them!
