Altoona Curve @ NB Rockcats
Went to NB for Cole & company with Altoona in town, over slept and didn’t get to the park early to hit NB coming in although I wasn’t too worried as I only need 3 guys on the team and they aren’t going anywhere. However I was worried I may miss the bus coming in, well I arrived and was putting my stuff together in the car when I look in my rear view mirror and see the bus pulling up. I ran over and called Cole off the bus and he was very nice signed for several minutes and made sure whoever wanted him got him, there was a decent crowd of graphers too so he was very accommodating. However he didn’t pick up a pen or acknowledge anyone the 3-4 cracks we all had with him in the park before the game. Left about an hour before the game even started as it was very hot and I had KO’d everyone I had stuff for on Altoona.
Altoona
Gerrit Cole 3/3-3 8x10s, 1/1 SS ROMLB…all personalized, some people were paying him off to not personalize and he was doing it, also heard some dealers in Trenton were giving him $100 each to SS a dozen balls no personalization.
Victor Black 6/6…very cool guy
Evan Chambers 2/2
Nathan Baker 5/5
Aldberto Santos 3/3
Oscar “My name is Osckaar” Tejada 2/4, 2/2
Jarek Cunningham 1/1
Ramon Cabrera 1/1
Kelson Brown 1/1
Jeff Inman 1/1
Andrew Maggi 5/5
Jeremy Ferrell 3/3..told him I took his advice and got his brother on the Cape last year and he reiterated to me how he is the most talented Ferrell when it comes to baseball.
Brock Holt 11/20, 9/9 (help, thanks Dougie)
Tim Alderson 1/1
Qunicy Latimore 1/1
Kris Johnson 2/4..looked miserable as always, he looked worse when I told him he can keep my extra Pawtucket set card he just mumbled “Don’t want it”
Total: 60

Cole was pretty cool here in Akron, too. Some dealers never cease to amaze me...paying him off not to personalize? Jeez. If there's any chance you'll trade on of the Drew Maggi autos you snagged, let me know.

MLB HOF Class of '05 Reunion...LHV Ironpigs @ Pawtucket Redsox w/Wade Boggs being honored
The MLB 2005 HOF class was present in Pawtucket yesterday with Ryno in with the visiting team and Wade Boggs present for his IL HOF induction. Didn't make an effort to graph the teams itself with my effort concentrated on Boggs. Went pregame just to get Ryno off the bus and was successful with that then left and came back later to get Boggs at the park. Had a few cracks at Boggs before he got on the field pregame for his induction but with Rick in his hip pocket it wasn't going to happen. They announced Boggs would be available for photo ops but no autographs (normally other way around but as usual Pawtucket gets its backwards), several staff members were present to reiterate that and said it was per order of Rick Mederios...surprise surprise. Rick was beside Boggs to make sure no one would try to get anything signed and Rick had told people earlier that Boggs was under contract and wasn't allowed to sign memorabilia (hmmm not sure I buy that bs). Anyways I figured I'd try to get one of my items done so I jumped back in line at the end and Rick said I'd be the last one for the photo op after Boggs posed for pics for about 25-30min. Kept the sharpie in my pocket and as Boggs put his hand out to shake my hand I pulled out the sharpie and held it out in front of him and asked politely for him to finish off the photo I had, he said he wasn't supposed to sign then said "What the heck it's a nice photo"...thanked him, shook his hand got the photo and split. Rick wasn't pleased he didn't notice until Boggs was about done signing the photo and told me I wasn't allowed to do that and I told him hey Wade wanted to sign it I didn't do anything wrong. Rick then had Boggs police escorted off concourse and told the cops he wanted to get him out of here without him signing autographs so figured I'd just be grateful to get the one and split without waiting around for Boggs to leave or postgame. I was the only one to get Boggs but still disappointed with how the day went, still glad to complete one of my pieces for him though. Rest will be in the mail tomorrow!
Pawtucket
Mark Prior 1/1 card, 1/1 mag (help)
LHV
Ryne Sandberg 2/2: 8x10 & card
Wade Boggs 1/1 8x10

Patriots TC
Went to Pats camp this afternoon, today was the running backs turn to sign but about half way through the signing period I saw Aaron Hernandez walk over and he got mobbed, he would sign 4 or 5 in one spot then move I was in front of him a few times before he finally hit me and then dip'd him for another so not bad. He ran with black pretty much though, got him to switch to blue on one of my 8s though.
Shane Vereen 2/2, 1/1..all cards
Stevan Ridley 1/3..which one? 1/1...both cards
Aaron Hernandez 1/1 8x10, 1/1 8x10
