I'm kinda new to NPN and confused
Hello,
I've done NPN through Upper Deck for a few years, but I want to start doing it for more companies. I have a question though. What do I need exactly when I send the request into the company. Do i only need...
the outside addressed envelope
an included SASE
an index card (I'm not sure what to write on this)
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks! Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!

Pretty simple process. You just need to put your name and address on the index card and mail it. If you get something in return they pay the postage.

No problem no it is pretty simple process a lot just don't like to waste stamps for potentially getting nothing.

Not worth the time to me. I just stick to the online ones thru UD. I've gotten a couple. But to waste stamps and envelopes isn't worth my time anymore.

I used to do this a lot. Back in the day, you could send up to 8 requests per product for Topps, and you always got back decent inserts. Numbered parallels, some game used, and once in a while an autograph.
It's been a long time since I got anything worth the stamp it cost me now. A few Panini game used a couple of years ago, but that's the last time I remember getting anything decent.
Since I have switched my buying practices to more singles in recent years, I just don't do it near like I used to though. Every once in a while I pick up a pack, and send one in for the heck of it, but it seems all I get now are commons, or a Topps Gold numbered to 2011. and usually of some scrub.
My buddy is still hard at it though. We trade. I give him football addy's and he gives me baseball ones. he gives me any football he gets, and I give him the baseball. it worked out great for years. But lately I only give him a few here and there, and he sends me another one all the time.
I try telling him, "Look dude, I gave you five last year, and you sent me like 30 of them. That doesn't work for me anymore."
I am out in the country, and don't get to a card shop and Target much. He lives almost across the street from a Target, and about a mile from the LCS, so he gets them all the time.
I send a few. But I keep trying to tell him this is a dead operation. We just don't get anything near worth the cost of stamps, envelopes, and index cards anymore.
Used to be a great way to get some decent cards cheap, but not really anymore.
