Supreme Court Strikes Down Stolen Valor Act
Gotta say, I lost a lot of respect for the SC after reading this.
Essentially, the Stolen Valor Act made it illegal for a person to claim that they had served in the military and won medals if they had not. The Supreme Court struck this down. If I understand it correctly, they deemed that the right to free speech protects a person's right to claim that they are a military hero.

If you're not under oath, it's completely legal to lie. If you lie for gains, it's already fraud. Am I missing something? This sounds like it would be redundant.
