"Blank N G" had offended some ... so I'm told. This was not my intent. I appreciate the warm welcome and I meant no harm to those who took offense to my intro/hello. Again thank you for the pms and the posted welcomes.

Hey Michael,
We are all big boys, I happen to like it. No problem at all.
I noticed it right away because it is how we talk where I grew up in NJ, and in construction, and in the military. I live in Pittsburgh now and it's not much different. My wife is from Brooklyn so we occasionally "slip" ourselves LOL! But as you'll find on SCF, we are trying to keep more of a "family" atmosphere. Think - PG-13... you get the idea I'm sure.
I am really glad to see another vintage collector on the site. I have a few vintage cards myself. The other day I saw a post where someone said "vintage" and they were referring to '96? seriously? Griffey jr. RC's, the card that re ignited the hobby in '89 is vintage?
Say it ain't so brother! I personally put the cuttoff at the 70's, though I do consider anything on the older cardstock to be of a "vintage" era.
I have quite a few vintage baseball cards from the 70's, some complete sets from '75 - '79. I have been picking up some vintage hockey lately but this is exteremely difficult with the older stuff from the 50's and 60's. The condition available is rough. I picked up some gems from the 70's though, WHL cards too. I recently built a set of '85 O-Pee-Chee hockey and it was not easy. The condition of most 80's OPC is generally badly OC and rough edges, but I have a set that overall is NM-MT!
Welcome to the site and please dont hesitate to ask if you need anything!
