Panini QC Gallery: 2012-13 Certified
http://paniniamerica.wordpress.com/2...-sweet-images/
ontrary to what some might think, the near future for hockey collecting is quite bright — both figuratively and literally. The upcoming release of 2012-13 Certified Hockey, a bona fide shimmering sensation, will see to that. The longstanding hobby staple and Panini America’s second NHL release of 2012-13 is making its way to hobby shops across North America as we speak. It’ll be live everywhere one week from today (just in time to enchant show-goers at the 2012 Toronto Fall Expo), which means the Panini America NHL team spent the better part of the last two days at the company printing facility across town quality-controlling this rainbow-foilboarded beauty.
I could rave on and on about Certified’s stunning aesthetics or the nifty Goalie Pulls insert or the comprehensive autograph checklist or the sweet memorabilia cards, but I figured the following images could sum things up way better than I ever could.
And if a picture really is worth a thousand words, get ready for a 77,000-word opus exploring the bright brilliance of 2012-13 Certified Hockey.

Really?
Because to me, everything I see looks recycled and tired.
I've been a Panini Fan since they started into hockey, but this set looks unimpressive.

Isn't every set by every company recycled and tired in todays world? Heck even the Cup designs are getting lazy and boring.
I for one like the looks of this years Certified and will be buying some recycled and tired or not.

Another stale release. Hopefully someone steps up and delivers something "new" and /or different from the junk they all released last year. Goalie Pulls? lol

I agree, the cup was very recycled.
I know that both companies need to recycle some ideas, but the least they could do is use some new fonts and layouts.

I like the look of the Immortals cards. Hoping there are some Rangers Autos in that subset. I also really like the pic for the Gaborik card. Other than that, it looks the same as before.

the goalie pulls are awesome! I also look forward to the masked marvels as well. The rest of the cards look similiar to certified from the last few years though.

I've been collecting Certified for the past couple of years. I really like the product. I do not find it tiring at all. I like that there is some consistency from year to year like the Immortals, Freshman Signatures, and Fabric of the Game. I also like how there is also something new like Path to the Cup. Only thing I am disappointed about is the Freshman Signatures are not hard signed anymore.

Im not a fan of the sticker autos for the Freshman Sigs. That was what I liked about Certified, at least the sigs were hard signed but this year its a tone down
