Lol, it only costs $2.49 ($2.20 plus tax) in postage. How much are bubble mailers in Quebec? I get em for 12 cents a piece.

I pay 3.79$ (light packet USA) + taxes for postage + the bubble mailer + the team bag + the top loader.Personally i use the buy it now or best offer option and offer free shipping on all my listings. That way i automaticly get 5 stars for shipping cost.

Your post office is ripping you off my friend. I put 2 $1.10 stamps on a bubble mailer and have never had an issue. And my buyers get the stuff quickly. I send 150-200 packages to USA a month. Never an issue.

I use to do that but i had a couple of packages returned. The bubble mailer are thick.Sometimes they accept it,sometimes they dont.I prefer not to take a chance and ship with the light packet option.I buy my bubble mailers by the case and they still cost me 30 cents each.Where do you find them for 12 cents?

Ya, it is $2.20. It is and has always been as far as i know, 2 regular United States stamps. I`ve been sending this way for as long as i can remember. This is because (well my understanding anyways) it is a `paper` item inside. They used to always ask for a customs form, but they don`t seem to ask for it any more. There is the older Customs form which they do not use anymore, a small green coloured one (43-074-076 (00-09)), and the current one 43-074-253 (10-04)).
You are right they sometimes try to charge for the light packet, when ever that happens i tell them it is a hockey card made of cardboard in a plastic protector. This is also what i write on the Customs Form if they ask me to fill it out. ("SPORTS CARD (paper) IN A PLASTIC PROTECTOR"). Having said that, sometimes when you go into the convenience stores with the CP offices they argue with me about the proper rate, so a couple of times over the years i just paid the Light Packet rate, not worth the hassle. I go to a real CP office/depot 95% of the time to avoid this.
imo you are gettting ripped off.Last edited by seafur; 03-05-2014 at 12:33 AM.

The guy originally listed the card at $45 when the auction started, then raised it to $55 halfway through with no bids, and it went unsold so he re-listed it at $60? What gives

oh okay that makes sense then. For that i actually purchased the big plastic Canada Post guage that they use for the 2cm height measurement. They used to sell them for 9.99. It is the best 10 bucks i have ever spent. If the package is to thick to go through the guage then i unpack it and flatten it out (ie. 2 or 3 piles with slightly bigger bubble mailer. Of course you have to get the weight under 100 grams. The second best thing i have purchased is a Starfrit kitchen scale from Canadian Tire (10 bucks when on sale). Believe it or not they are extremely accurate, to test it i weighted 4 hockey card packages with the Starfrit scale, then took them to CP office and they were bang on, same weight as on their scales.

Not as cheap as $0.12, but at Dollarama you can get 3 for $1.13 (including taxes) which is about $0.38.

If you do a lot of trading/selling you can buy this:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/500-000-Kraft-Bubble-Padded-Envelopes-Mailers-4-X-8-by-UPS-Ground-/251345290728?pt=BI_Mailers_Envelopes&hash=item3a85 58c5e8&_uhb=1
Works out to less than $0.10 each. You can also buy smaller bundles but then the price per enveloppe obviously goes up.
