While there is no description of what Jesus looked like, I can point out a few things that can help give an idea...

    Jesus was a Hebrew.
Jesus was a carpenter. He was a laborer. This means he probably spent a lot of time working outside in the sun. Also, being a laborer, he probably had a somewhat rugged look and probably a muscular frame.
In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus identified himself twice to those arresting him. This probably means he didn't stand out from his disciples.

    Just food for thought....

Remember, it was also dark in the garden. So while he didn't look any different with poor visibility, he could have looked quite different in the light.

    Just rambling.

^American Jesus....sorry folks, he wasn't white, that's almost impossible, considering that the Hebrews of that time were almost indistinguishable from Arabs.

He probably looked more like this:

really American Jesus? I think someone else had many more years under their belt then Americans, when it comes to potraits of Jesus being white.

    how about this?

Fair enough....and you're absolutely right that Europeans were the ones who depicted Jesus with white skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes.

Still, you would think that by now this issue would be corrected....they haven't.

Very rarely do I see Jesus NOT being depicted as white with blonde hair.
