I agree it does not prove anything other then a canada post employee mark it as delivered but neither you or the sender can prove anything. This is why I say good luck for the sender in winning his point if he ever contect them because he too as no proof. I read about a few issue on the board as I never had this happened to me and if I remember well, they did not get anything from the complaint. But it's worth trying at the minimum as it's the best way to find out. This is why when I do send something expensive I do not use Expresspost but I think I use parcel with tracking ID signature and inssurance. Take more time to arrive but really more secure.
