A kinda small but very smug eBay steal

I'm trying to piece together the 1999/00 UD Century Legends /100 set of 89 cards. It's not so easy 13+ years after the fact, nor is it cheap, I think I have a whopping 15 or so.................

This one's sitting up there on eBay right now..................

    I best offered $30 because.......well C'MON!!! I got a "I'll accept $36" reply. Fair enough, it's his card, he can keep it I guess :/

So then this auction just ended................

Lol awesome! Love when that happens. I had a guy offering me a Galiardi I needed and he wanted over BV for it so I left it, couple days later one popped up on ebay and won it for about 10% BV always great.

Ho ho ho SNORT "Book Value" chortle chortle!!! I hates the book. The last one I bought was for the Kings Cup win.

When we're talking about cards that are 13 years old and the supply is drying up, but the demand has to factor in there as well, the book just doesn't apply. It all comes down to how much he's willing to sell for and how much I'm willing to pay.

I BIN'd a Bobby Clarke /100 for 10 bucks, that's my scale. Clarke > Sundin. But how many Sundins are floating around?

    Glad I waited tho :)

How about Forever Rivals? There's 25 Habs "base" jersey cards + another 5 "limited" ones, only 20 of each of those. I haz Steve Shutt, Jacques Laperriere and Serge Savard, I needs Jean Beliveau & Henri Richard. Henri I can't locate a single one yet, but here's a Beliveau for only $275...........

    But then last week?

    I'll land Henri :)
