Hey, Isn't That the Spring Bunny?
Because this is the holiest week of the year on the Judeo-Christian calendar, it might be useful to look at how theology is faring in the age of secularism. As you may know, there is a movement in America to remove the...

Bill thinks it's unchristian to call Easter by any other name...yet Easter is named after a Pagan God...interesting.
I'm also going to point out that maybe the big bad secularists don't say anything about Ramadan or Jewish celebrations because they are honest.
Christmas is a lie and everything about it is a pagan tradition.
Easter is a pagan fertility festival celebrated with eggs and bunnies.
Tough to respect a religion whose most important days are pagan festivals, unless that religion is paganism.Last edited by Wickabee; 03-30-2013 at 10:40 AM.

so the human involvement in a religion makes the entire religion not worthy of respect?
or the truth and practices being twisted by humans for thousands of years makes the initial truth false or twisted?
what and who is the name Easter in relation to Christianity hurting?
you can't take the human out of religion and as long as it is not teaching hate or harm, why is that a bad thing?

1: I said "tough to". Not impossible.
2: No. It makes what's happening today false.
3: Presumably, Jesus. The most important day of the year is named after an imagined entity people worship in competition with his father. It'd be like changing MLK Day into Whitney's Day of The Man.
4: If by that you mean hypocrisy, then you're right. In the end they're only hurting themselves and/or their God.

so by the romans wanting to include all their citizens in a celebration that can represent many things, it is hurting God or Jesus? how the heck do you hurt God?
you can pollute the understanding of God for other humans, but God is God no matter what anyone on this earth does or doesn't do.

Pretty much. Man has messed up everything he has touched since the people were fooled into thinking there is an actual place called hell.

This is another attempt by atheist and Government to take God out Schools and Government yet want to keep the holiday and their down time, as if they do not have enough of that already. The fact is, they, who ever they are, want to change the definition of terms we have lived with for centuries. I hope those who believe in God start, putting their foot down.
