I spent most of my time away from Surfers, and Brisbane. Brisbane was a boring hole in 1980 and still is today.

I live in Byron Bay, NSW before the boom when it was 3,000 people and no hotels, but the Railway Pub, the Top Pub and the Mainstreet Pub. I lived in Noosa Heads for a season as well and surfed my brains out.

Ended up living in both Sydney and Melbourne as well as Margaret River, WA. I hitch-hiked over 65,000 miles and went to the absolute worst and remote places on that continent. Bloody brilliant everywhere I went in the outback.

You are still hiding in America though correct
I lived 2 years in Australia as well. Had residency, but have since given it up which was the dumbest thing I have ever done..

Other than running into snakes which I happen to have an art in doing because I am a wilderness guy, I prefer it over Canada, simply because of weather, and the fact that I surf a bit and Australian women aren't half the size of the fatties in Canada or the USA.

My 1st time in OZ was probably before most on this board were born - 32 years ago.

The yobbos in Australia are much more tolerable than American Hillbillies, or Canadian White Trash
