I usually only buy on ebay because everyone on this site charges out the wazoo on shipping or advertises a seam card as a patch and want 30 bucks for a card going for 5-6 on ebay. When I first joined there was always a bunch of reasonable deals and more threads. I hope things start to pick up again soon. I think the lockout killed the hockey section plus weak rookie class. I think people selling don't sell to help other collectors, just to make a quick buck.

I'm almost the exact opposite. I won't buy anything on ebay unless its for my PC. However, I buy on here all the time. I'm able to find lots of deals.

same here. ebay ususally charges too much on shipping. 2 to 3 $ for 1 card? no thanks.
always love going on here and hitting up silence7's and pwaldo, and a couple other guy's 10 cent sales.

I'd say probably not the best idea to vent about this. I've done the same and gotten criticized over it, seems like even now nobody is interested in anything I have. Wonder why lol.
Even though it is something that drives me nuts. I deal with people like this as well. It seems they just want to get the best price with no consideration for the one selling. I'll get the old "you want to sell, so you should cater to what I can offer" I know I probably have alot of stuff I could have moved and it's still here, because the other person wasn't willing to come to reasonable terms on price. I usually try to give a discount off what it's worth and include shipping if possible.
Another thing that drives me nuts, is when you are talking to someone about a deal for a long period of time, then things just fizzle out. A huge waste of time.

I understand that there are unreasonable buyers who want 100$ cards for 50 bucks. However, it seems like many people in this thread are only criticizing buyers. What about the sellers than want 50 bucks for their 10 dollar card? It goes both ways and thats just how it will always be. Ebay has led to individual card prices dropping. Who wants to sell a 2013 Museum Dual Patch Auto /50 of a decent player for 5-15 dollars? Nobody..But thats what they are worth because of ebay. I specifically see this by one seller who always has a large inventory of mid to high end cards and continuously bump threads. However, they charge 40-50 dollars for cards with a 10-20 dollar SV. Absurd in my eyes.
Also. I know that it sucks when people pass on deals after talking for a while. But if the price isn't right then the buyer has to pass. It isn't a waste of time as usually people are trying to get a deal done but sometimes there just isn't enough room for the buyer and seller to meet. I know it seems annoying but thats negotiating. People don't buy every card they ask about nor should they feel obligated to.

The more people give in to pressure tactics, the more people will use them. Stay strong and hold out for a fair price.
