If it were me, I am going with the Court Kings. It is something different and it isn't from 2012-13. I am also very fond of the Court Kings so yeah. As for what I would pay for each, retail for a generic Kobe auto is about $155. Anything more than that and it needs to be something special (For instance. I have his Prizm Prizm auto /25....$165 wouldnt do it for that card...I also just sold an Anthology auto /8 for $348). The Topps one would be the most difficult to find in good shape. If it were me, I am only buying that card graded.
As for what I would pay I need to preface it by saying I have three Kobe autos so I would only pick another one up at a discount.
Preferred- $155
Prizm base- $135 (there are a LOT of these out there, Panini used them as redemption replacements on Gold Standard autos)
Court Kings- $170 (I don't know the book but it is horizontal and signed horizontally....its simply different)
1998-99 TOpps- $160 but I would only buy it graded
Good luck on your purchase!!!

i use to have 1 of those Topps ... I'll go for it... Kobe no longer signs for them so sooner or later , it will be harder to find 1 from Topps..

I like the Preferred one. It looks like the old signatures from baseball in the 90's. But that Topps one is pretty cool too.

That preferred looks a lot like the 1997 Donruss Signature autographs in baseball. They had a couple different colors for it red, blue, and green I think. So I would go with that one since I actually liked the look of those. If not that then the Prizm since I don't really like the pictures they chose for the other two cards.

I would wait on buying a Kobe card until he comes back from the injury.

He's my favorite player. I've always wanted a auto from him. I'm not looking to buy and sell... I want to put in in my pc... so I don't really want to wait lol.

$200 for that Kobe is a little steep to be honest. Search the sell board here and you will get a better deal than that. Hell, had I known you were looking last week I would have cut you a deal on one (I had five as of last week, I have 3 higher-end ones left).
What is it worth and what I would pay for it is different. It probably books $250-300. I wouldn't go more than $170 on it(the thought there is that with 173 other copies of THAT card, chances are I could find one of the 173 in the $170 price range)
