I think you're where all of us have either been or will be at some point. The collection gets too big. A monetary crisis/opportunity (crisi-tunity, as Homer Simpson would say). We.....grow up? At the end of the day they're just Pictures of Men, and they might be "worth" a fortune to us but that doesn't translate well when you try to stick a Bobby Orr auto into an ATM machine :)

As far as your worry about "false idols" I think you're OK. I loooooooooove my little hoard, and yes it's an addiction and yes it's expensive, but unless you've gotten down on your knees and worshipped at the altar of Mike Bossy then all you're guilty of is the physical/psychological wants that we all have in today's instant-gratification world. If I had to flip my cards tomorrow to deal with a family issue then they'd be gone. The fact that you've come to the decision you have means you put your faith and your other priorities first and foremost.

#1 would be Zetterberg UD Premier /15. I just recently got the Spezza and Nash /15.

#2 1 guess just any Cup RC's of the dudes I collect that I don't already own (or better patches). That includes rainbow versions as well. Kane, Toews, Jordan Staal, Kopitar, Phaneuf, Parise /9, Perry, Lundy (base), Ward /30, Carter /17.

Randoms - Eric Staal & Fleury SPX /10, Fleury Ice /25, Luongo, Fleury & Thornton GOLD Black Diamond RC's.

I know I can't afford all of that, but I'll have quite a bit of cash coming in with all these sales, so I'll definitely get some. This isn't a comprehensive list, but is a pretty good start.
