Fed Judge Rules It's OK To Flash Headlights To Warn Of Police Speedtraps
I have seen this come up several times lately. I know one city near me has been known to pull people over for flashing their headlights to warn others that the police are running radar. Looks like it is now protected under the First Amendment. I am not sure how I feel about this being called a "freedom of speech" issue, but I have a real problem with cops telling me when I can and can not flash my headlights.

Here only jackwagon cops pull you over for it, but it stands up as "impersonating an emergency vehicle"

Impersonating an Emercency Vehicle in most Canadian Provinces requires the use of a Red Flashing light, or a Yellow Flashing Light prominently displayed and working, without a necessary reason.
Flashing your Headlights is not impersonating an emergency vehicle in the slightest.

A North Texas man is trying to clear his name after he was arrested and cited for allegedly violating a city ordinance for holding a homemade sign warning drivers about speed traps.
Ron Martin, 33, was arrested last October after an officer saw him standing in the median on the Eldorado Parkway in Frisco holding a sign that read "Police ahead," letting drivers know an officer was waiting at the opposite side of a nearby bridge, MyFoxDFW.com reported.

Yeah but that guy was in the middle of the freeway. Not on the side of the road.
I flash people all the time if there's a cop sitting somewhere and it usually ends up with people turning their brights on and leaving them on til I pass them.

This is easily one of the most disgusting parts about our police state society.
Cops who would rather trap innocent people, give them a hard time and then fine them hundreds of dollars while REAL criminals are out there doing REAL crimes.
There's a good reason why so many people genuinely HATE the cops.

Is it that so many people don't know the difference between traffic cops and detectives?

So, in any given moment (especially in big cities) there's not a bunch of 911 calls being made?
I guess not.
BTW, you do know that in the U.S many PDs have quotas and this is usually when they purposely do this crap, right?
