Dude, that's a pretty cynical viewpoint. I've seen local non-chain businesses do the same thing. Chick-Fil-A gives local managers a lot of power, and my guess is that it was the local manager's idea to do this, and the higher brass just gave the go-ahead.

It may be cynical, but is it really that far fetched? This is a company that entered the political arena for more sales and it worked.

Both. I'm not saying goodwill for profit is a totally bad thing, I just don't like the obvious benefits being ignored. Don't pretend this is JUST for him. If it was, I wouldn't know about it at all.

Sure, I can agree with that. Hell, even a bad cop getting shot in the back is a travesty perpetrated by a coward.

The restaurant is the story though. Locations across the US will see higher sales because of this.
