It may be cynical, but is it really that far fetched? This is a company that entered the political arena for more sales and it worked.

What does a national advertising campaign cost?
What does shutting down one location for one day lose?

you still are losing money, do you think all the money comes out of the same pot? advertising dollars are not in the same budget.

Both. I'm not saying goodwill for profit is a totally bad thing, I just don't like the obvious benefits being ignored. Don't pretend this is JUST for him. If it was, I wouldn't know about it at all.

And that is sad that it took this to let it be known a good cop (rare to some) lost his life.His muder should of been top news not the act of a restaurant.

Sure, I can agree with that. Hell, even a bad cop getting shot in the back is a travesty perpetrated by a coward.
The restaurant is the story though. Locations across the US will see higher sales because of this.
