Are you smarter than an Atheist?
Probably not....but take the test anyway!
http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/2011/01...-Sabbath-begin
(Seriously though, I'm joking)
Here's a religion test which ironically enough Atheists and Agnostics have scored higher than all other religious people.
It's 32 questions which cover the major world religions and other religious topics.
I got 30 out of 32, but I honestly fully expect most people on here to get similar if not better results.
(It's really not that hard at all).

im agnostic and missed 5, 4 i didnt know but the one about bread and wine becoming not representing has me a little confused,as with most religious stuff
title should read
"are you smarter then a evangelical hick" because they are the only people (outside reality show watchers) that would be so single minded not to have basic common knowledge of most religions

I got all but one right. I didn't know the bread and wine one either. I actually never heard that it actually becomes the flesh and blood, always heard it as a representation.

Because religious people tend to worry about their own religion. While Atheists tend to worry about all religions.
Oh the Irony.

I think the word you're looking for is "informed".
As in many atheists are actually more informed than their religious theist counterparts on the subject of religion.
And the reason why we're informed is because many of us came from a religious upbringing and until we actually looked deep into our religion and the other big ones we started seeing many flaws.
Hell, as an atheist I have read the bible more times than when I was a Christian....
I've studied and dissected it.
And that's the REAL irony....it wasn't until I really took an interest in the bible and Christianity as a whole that I began to have doubts, and eventually abandoned the "faith" and my belief in god altogether....
There's actually a pretty funny atheist joke we tell amongst each other...
The best way to deconvert a Christian is to make him read the bible.

28/32. Christian Theist. Took World Religions in college.
While Alex praises himself and other atheists, I just want to add that I have much more respect for agnostics than atheists. They tend to be less arrogant, less constantly self-congratulatory, and far more willing to concede other possibilities. It's quite ironic also that atheists rant so much against theists' faith, and insist on "tolerance," when they themselves have unwavering certainty over something that cannot be proved, either. Agnostics are usually far more humble and open-minded.

lol, I'm still agnostic...I have no idea if god exists or not.
Yes, I and others CAN be both atheist and agnostic at the same time.
And if you're going to talk about being open minded then once again consider the irony that many atheists (not all) are more informed about religion then religious theists.
If that's not open minded I don't know what is.
I know more about Christianity and the bible as an atheist then I ever did as a Christian.

So I ask politely WHICH IS IT??? You bang on Christianity non stop and state you are borderline expert being a former Christian. And you constantly use words like WE as if you speak for the masses. But yet you understand Christianity better now than you did which means you must read into it. So why read into or look into something you don't believe in? I am confused and maybe you can clear it up.

Being Methodist, I can say the same thing about Catholics. They are usually way more overbearing, way more discriminatory, and frankly less enjoyable to be around...and this includes my own family. It all depends on who you know, and where you are, I guess.
