Does anyone have good success with the fall league? I've had such bad luck with my baseball requests and can't afford the 5% return I've been getting.

Updated my above post with the second batch that I dropped in the mail this morning. I've got 25 total requests out for the AFL, a few of which are kind of wild cards/long shots. Not sure what to expect but hoping to get at least a few back to jump start work on my '14 THM set.

I have been up and down but tend to send every year regardless. I have hit 60% and 10%, last year was attrocious so Im hoping for better this season. I think several guys signed in season so I feel like 25-50% return rate is likely. I'm doing it to get an early jump on the 2014 THM set myself.

In all honesty, just like TTM in general, it's a complete crap shoot. Just when you think you have it figured out- where to send, who to send to, great signers, bad signers- it will surprise you. I've had guys with very high return rates not return for me, and I've had a couple guys who rarely sign for others send back to me. I'd say overall this year's AFL seems to have a decent group of signers. It all depends on who you send to, and really I think there is a lot of luck involved!

I have 20 letters out and 20-30 more to write and mail. Mostly west coast teams, that I can't get back east in SALLY league, Eastern League, or Carolina League.

I sent to a few bigger names, but not holding my breath. If I get 10-20/50 back I guess its a success? Seeing how a plane ticket is $500, a hotel is $100/night, and a car rental.

J A S Z I'm not 100% sure of this list, but I think I have dupes of these guys either 8x10 or on a card. DO you have any prospects that you could trade? I would also do unsigned prospect cards that you may have dupes of, especially eastern and central teams that are in the leagues close to me here in Philly.

Here are the cards I have that you just sent out (I think, Im going off memory) PLUS ALOT MORE!!!

    Miguel Almonte-14 TPD
    Jesse Winker-13 THM
    Nick Williams-14THM
    Hunter Renfroe-13BDPP
    Hunter Dozier-14THM
    Brandon Nimmo-14THM/14 TPD
    Roman Quinn-13THM
    Rio Ruiz-14THM
    Trevor Story-14THM
    Sean Nolin-13BDP
    Fransico Lindor-13THM
    Bubba Starling 14THM
    Eddie Rosario 14THM
    Josh Bell 14THM/14TPD

We'll, this isn't exactly TTM successes, and I may get some strife for this, but I played hooky and attended the Salt River Rafters @ Peoria Javelinas game here in Surprise, AZ.

Walked away with Byron Buxton on sweet spot. (Solo ball)

Ticket signed (will update player when I dicypher.

DBacks logo ball with Marzili, Cruz (coach), Sherfy, and Fleck

Blank ball (Rafters team ball) with (Coach) Josh Miller, Chad Wallach, Vincent Velasquez, Eddie Rosario, Tyler Heineman, Trevor Story, Austin Nola, Ryan Casteel, Taylor Featherston, and Jayson Aquino.

    Overall, a successful day!
