Wow, nice way to kick off the thread Rich - I love seeing complete print runs of letters whether they be front or back of the jerseys, and that was just your Honourable Mention!

All right, I'll play along... this year for this first time I was working on two PC's - of course my decade-plus long obsession with the Sedins, but also branching out into master set collecting Lord Stanley's Mug, is it cheating to do a top 5 from each?

From my Sedin PC...

#5 - No photo on this one (which is odd because many other players in this set did have pictures, and all other Sedin cards in the set had photos, feels like a bit of an oversight), but still a 1/1 featuring an autograph and what I believe is a really nice piece of a CCM tag pushes this one into my top 5.



#4 - I'm a real fan of the Tundra Tandems that Artifacts does every year, been working for years on trying to make a deal with someone who has a couple of the older 1/1's, but happy to have landed the newest one. Would've ranked higher if it features both twins, but for the first time ever UD only used Danny and paired him up with Edler, doh.



#3 - Stick Work was a nice little product, love this gold 1/1 Tape to Tape, looks like ITG did their best to choose the more interesting tape pieces where possible on the 1/1's, here it looks like a 33 on Hank's tape.



#2 - Shields aren't perhaps quite as exciting as they used to be, but still it's not every day that you land one for the ol' PC so this one easily makes the list.



#1 - I'm a much bigger fan of stick nameplates compared to shields, it's more unique to the actual player, and so far the manufacturers haven't overdone them so it's a pretty sweet pickup. UD and Panini have both made only 1 Daniel and 2 Hanks apiece (Property Of in the Cup, and Had It, Stamped It in Dominion) over all the years, I've got 1 Hank and 1 Danny from each, including this most recent pickup. ITG has only made a single Danny in Superlative v2 which I've also got, so I'm up to 5 out of the 7 stick nameplates ever made.




Ok, now on to my second obsession - Lord Stanley's Mug.

#5 - The hockey world lost a great man in Mr. Beliveau, love this nice two-colour swatch of his jersey as part of the subset honouring Henri Richard's record 11 cup wins as a player.



#4 - Love the design of the Legendary Moments subset with the newspaper headline look, and to have such a nice piece of a Barilko glove is just icing on the cake.



#3 - On to the best subset in the product, the Mega Patches - only quibble is it would've been nicer to get a bit more colour variety on the Pocket Rocket with a tad more white.



#2 - A gorgeous Bobby Baun Maple Leafs swatch - this one is crazy thick (where all other memorabilia cards in the entire product are 100pt, this one is so thick it completely busted out of the cardboard, apparently had to be remade a few times by ITG and they had to custom make it thicker, finally sits nicely in a 180pt toploader).



#1 - Hands down the best card in my PC, I never thought I would ever own a card that would top my favourite Sedin cards - but this Mr. Hockey Mega Patch is easily the best card I will likely ever own. Perhaps the nicest card in the entire product (perhaps the Maurice Richard gives it a run for its money), and one of the sweetest Gordie Howe cards ever made.

When I started my game-used project half a year ago I never thought I would own quite a few cards that I've managed to get but I would have to choose the follow 5 as my best,

Honorable mention (this was a gift so I wouldn't consider it one of my top 5 "pick-ups" but its fosure in my top 5 additons )

Danny Dekeyser Winter Classic Auto.

These were redemptions given out in packs only at the 2014 Winter Classic, extremely short printed and extremely rare. This is only the third one I've ever seen of Danny, 1 currently listed on ebay and another on ebay under completed listings sold for $97 which isn't a huge figure normally but for a Dekeyser sticker auto with no Mem or Serial number that should tell you how SP they are.

I always enjoy picking up Vintage GU and this was my first for Delvecchio so its a favorite of mine.

Wow, this is actually a tough one. My collection has shifted this year a little as I have focused on Joe Sakic when I am unable to find new Devan Dubnyk's for the collection.
Might be a weird order, but these are a few gems I added this year. I'm also going to cheat and use an honorable mention as this card doesn't fit my main collection but I sure like these stick cards:

my favorites so far 5 lafleur foundations is awesome, 4 the patch from toews, 3 the 1/1 tag foundations from brodeur, 2 the stick nameplate from sedin and my favorite so far is dual scripted sticks Sakic and Forsberg ( my favorite combo ever)

My top 5 pickups of this year , all have a small story of how and where I acquired it, I did a lot of searching this year and am pretty happy with the results

I Searched through photobucket around April for Nick Lidstrom, a guy came up that matched an ebay alias , he didn't respond for like 3 weeks I thought the deal was dead in the water after originally responding he had the card and wasn't opposed to selling it , then he came around and here it is, As a die hard Nick lidstrom fan ( I live in Detroit) this was a must have

I never thought buying a Dwayne roloson Card would find me this beauty, there was a person on ebay around may that listed a bunch of oilers cards varying in all years and brands, I just shot them an email and was pleasantly happy with their response that they had both 2006/07 grant fuhr scripted and honorable .... triple color here and double color on the scripted
