1 OPC Platinum Blaster from Walmart - Good, Bad or Indifferent ?
My first look at hese in person, debating to buy a box or two or go for the set. My LCS looking for over $100/box. Although this is a blaster, not too impressed with the collation for 6 packs. No scans, just finished opening them
Base:
17 - Emerson Etem
32 - Jonathan Huberdeau
36 - Ryan Nugent - Hopkins (x2)
38 - Taylor Hall - This is a horizontal card, is it some sort of variation or just regular issue?
47 - Gustav Ntquist
51 - Valeri Nichushkin
91 - Joe Pavelski (x2)
93 - Ben Bishop
104 - Joe Thornton
119 - Tyler Johnson
122 - Keith Yandle
132 - Jaromir Jagr (x2)
143 - Mike Green
Rookie:
162 - Brandon Gormley (x2)
165 - Jori Lehtera (x2)
181 - Rocco Grimaldi
194 - Johnny Gaudreau (PC)
Inserts/parallels
143 - Mike Green - serial # 099/199 - not sure what the parallel name is
PS-11 Patrick Marleau - Platinum Superstars - This thing is Die Cut, on a red background, again unsure how "rare" this is.
Opinions ?

Thanks lexiled, after looking at a complete checklist here,

I'd say i did ok too except for the duplicates.
The Hall is indeed a retro, it is 1:4 packs. The Platinum Superstars Inserts fall 1:60 packs whether its Hobby/Retail/Blaster.
On that site, there is also a complete visual guide of all the photo variation cards that are out there.Last edited by xahax; 04-26-2015 at 04:02 PM. Reason: updated

I've busted 2 blasters of this and have no dupes, odd that in one box you got so many, at least you got a Gaudreau and a nice parallel and Insert.

The dupes might actually be the rainbow parallel version. They're really similar to the base cards, but when you look it at them with a slight angle, there's some colours in the foil. It happened to me a few times to have the base AND rainbow in the same pack! But never got any dupes from blaster or hobby boxes.

drnaud81-- i've tilted these things every way possible, under a lamp, by a sunny window, I don't see any colors at all. I've done them both at the same time and singular, nothing. I'm thinking they are actually duplicates. I wish they would put some sort of identification on them to let you know.
