New member - Wisconsin
Hello all. New to the forum and new to collecting in the digital age. It's been a 15+ year hiatus.
Have a few questions please..
- I still can't see links to people's "buckets". Are these simply links to their photobucket pages or detailed lists of what they have/want?
- Do most people scan their cards or take digital photos?
Thanks!

You have to wait after 10 posts ( I believe) to see the buckets... just have them send a direct link
Most take pics of their cards, except if they are lower end... just lists.
Welcome

Welcome to SCF! You'll need to have 10 posts before you can see buckets. You're at 9 now so just look thru the forum and comment on someone's post or thread and that will make 10 (you can even reply to this to make #10).
As far as photos people do either scans or digital photos. Can't comment on which is easier since I just use my scanner to load images to my bucket. Also some members just list their cards for trade or sale but it seems most people would like too see scans of them if possible.
You'll have fun here, and again welcome (from Iowa).

I don't think it makes a difference either way. If you have a way to take digital photos of a card you really don't need to spend the extra money to get scans in my opinion.Selling All My Cards Here------>Hidden Content

Hey Andrew, welcome to SCF! Haven't been up your way in quite a while. I grew up in WI in a small town outside of Janesville myself before ending up in IN. Welcome back to collecting & good luck with your collection!

Wow!
Crazy! I lived in WI almost all my life and also took a 15 year hiatus (as I also quoted) from collecting... Talk about deja vu.
Welcome!
I did have to get away from that frozen disaster and moved down to FL a couple years ago, though. :)

Hello Andrew and WELCOME to SCF! If you're looking to start taking pics of your collection to upload them on a website the 2 most commonly used are photobucket and flicker. I use flicker now after using photobucket for years. Photobucket is google and flicker is yahoo. I find flicker easier and better in just about every aspect. Hope this helps you out before you get too deep into loading pics. It takes a long time and is no fun to have to do it all over again.
